I've said it before and I'll say it again: I LOVE a maxi dress. Something about it is so easy, yet stylish. They are by far the items I reach for the most in my closet. Imagine my thrill when Von Vonni reached out to me to style one of the dresses from their Transformer line. I honestly could not have been more excited. Knowing I was going on vacation soon after receiving the dress, I knew it was going to fill more than need on my packing list. Let's not forget, it's a Transformer dress.

I first grabbed the dress for our short Saturday morning in Charleston. I wore it walking through College of Charleston with my sister (who was a fantastic photographer) and then to wander through the farmer's market. I confess, I had to wear wedges. I think for us short girls having it shortened by about 2 inches would be perfect. Luckily, it has an unfinished hem, so it would be a pretty easy DIY project.

This dress can be worn, like, 100 different ways which is why I was so excited to try it out. I styled it the first time as a one shoulder, with an open back. It was comfortable even in the Charleston humidity because the fabric doesn't cling, and the skirt is so flowy.

A few days later, I wore the same dress after a day at the beach. It works just as well with your feet in the sand. I promise. At the beach, I wrapped this dress into a strapless style, which obviously made it a little shorter.

I will confess, that tying this dress, in either style you see, took a little effort, but it wasn't hard. I simply asked one of my sisters to ensure that the scarf style tie at the back showed more pattern than not. If you're seeing this and slightly intimidated, fear not, they have a video (which I watched upon receiving my dress) to make it much less scary.

I'm pretty sure this dress will be making an appearance at the rehearsal dinner of a fall wedding I'm attending. And it will probably see a few weekend nights out before summer officially ends.

Ok, so I first have to say thank you so much to Von Vonni for sending me one of their gorgeous Transformer Dresses. This dress is absolutely amazing, the goal was for me to style the dress and make it my own, and with the assistance of a good friend we came up with a really chic way to wear it. There are so many different ways to wear this piece, we tried several looks and then decided to actually spin the dress around so that the back was in the front, then we criss crossed the fabric in the front, and continued the criss crossing theme with the back of the dress by crossing the fabric once again and bringing it back around the front (stomach waist area), and finishing the look off with a low knot. The Von Vonni Transformer Dress comes in a variety of colors and is one size fits all, it can truly be tailored for any body type shape or size. It feels amazing on your skin and has a lot of movement to it, it basically moves with your body! The dresses can be purchased from several boutiques as well as directly from VonVonni.com. Another thing I love about the Von Vonni Transformer Dress is that it can be dressed up or dressed down. I've seen them be worn as bridesmaid dresses/ gowns as well as elegant evening dresses, you don't need a lot of accessories when wearing the beautiful Transformer Dress because it makes enough of a statement on its own. I wore the dress in kimono sleeve style for a casual summer day in Florida. I added wedges and a fringe bag to keep the cute, casual yet fab. I also wore the dress in London in a more dressy way during a night out at the Savoy. I added sparkly earrings and a studded & jeweled clutch to complete this chic look.

I am so excited to finally share this dress with you!

I had the privilege to work with the awesome company Von Vonni , which their dresses have been featured in Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Shape, Harpers Bazaar, Huffington Post Style, New York Times, Seventeen, Us Weekly and so many more!

Von Vonni Transformer Dress : Cobalt Blue & Silver Sequins

Hi Everyone! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ever since Von Vonni gifted me their Transformer Dress in Cobalt Blue last week, I couldn't stop having fun with it. A Transformer Dress, also known as an infinity dress, is basically a dress that you can wear in endless ways. I was so happy to take her home with me, I think it is the most innovative piece in my wardrobe. This dress is available in a whole spectrum of colors (see my video showing several colors here) which would make a great bridesmaid dress, prom dress, or any dress to wear to a semi-formal to formal occasion. The shorter version with sleeves would be work appropriate that can easily transform into a nice dress for happy hour. This dress is also travel friendly since the material isn't prone to wrinkles so you can just roll her up and pack her in your luggage and go. I will definitely be taking her with me to Las Vegas at the end of the year.

The Transformer Dress comes in one size that fits a US size 0-12, and a plus size that fits a US size 14-22. The Transformer Collection also includes the Long Transformer Dress with Sleeves, Short Transformer Dress, the Short Transformer Dress with Sleeves, the Transformer Top, the Transformable Romper, and the Transformer Tube if you're not comfortable with a NuBra.

One thing that I like about this dress is how easy it can be tailored to fit your body. I am able to move the waist higher or lower to sit at my natural waistline and adjust where I want the dress to end on my shoulders since I am very self conscious of my arms. The waist of the skirt did run big on me so I added an elastic band to the back of the waist. I also shortened the dress myself by 4 inches since there was no hemming needed. Although you can easily alter this dress to your desired length with a pair of scissors, I highly recommend either using a rotary cutter for more steadiness or bringing it to your tailor for a quick and easy job. I am actually thinking about shortening this dress to knee length to get more wear out of it and use the remaining fabric to make either a circle skirt or tube top for extra coverage.

I love how well the material of this dress drapes and how it flows with the wind as you're walking. Since the material drapes so nicely and hugs my curves at the right spot, it really helps elongate my body and almost with a slimming effect too. I've had so much fun styling this dress, I would definitely recommend this dress to those who are interested. You will have so much fun with it too. I can't wait to show you how I'll transform it next time.

One Dress Can Transform Your Look Multiple Times!

I recently had the honor and pleasure of experiencing a Von Vonni Transformer dress and I am completely in LOVE!

I have the long, purple mozaic dress and the colors are very vibrant, fresh and flattering. This dress amazingly can be worn in a ton of different styles (the website says 25) giving you the freedom to wear this to multiple occasions and create your own style! Of course the website provides you with videos on how you can create specific looks and it is very easy to follow and do on your own.

It is a one size fit most (US size 0-12) and with the type of fabric used for the dress it is easy to flatter any body shape! I have an average body size, but my shape is Kim Kardashian so it’s hard for me to find flattering long dresses that don’t make me look bulky or too hippy. The Transformer dress made me feel completely comfortable, glamorous and sexy and the multiple style options make it easy to style yourself into a flattering look. You can wear it with or without a bra, depending on style, but for me I have to wear a bra so when I wear the dress raised up, strapless/tub top way, I can use the long fabric pieces at the top to create sleeves, or a belt to define my waist-line, or one shoulder twists…anything I want!

It is such a flowing, soft, versatile dress it is the ideal dress that every woman should own! It is extremely affordable considering all that it offers and it is made in the USA!
